Lake Alan Henry

A fairly popular reservoir during Texasā€™ scorching summers, Lake Alan Henry is located around 45 miles south of Lubbock and 4 miles east of Justiceburg. Thereā€™s no lack of space here as the surface area of this lake spans a whopping 2,880 acres. Many fishers choose to frequent Lake Alan Henry due to the massive population of largemouth bass in the area. These fish can be caught using various kinds of bait and are most likely to be caught during springtime. Other potential catches include catfish, crappie, smallmouth bass, and sunfish.

Donā€™t worry if fishing isnā€™t quite your forte because thereā€™s plenty of other activity options at Lake Alan Henry. For example, the lake also offers jet skiing, waters skiing, camping, hiking, hunting, birding, and wildlife viewing. Itā€™s easy to see why this is such a popular spot: thereā€™s something for everyone to enjoy! If you simply want to experience some beautiful scenery then be sure to check out the overlook near the main park road as its the highest point and offers breathtaking views of the reservoir and surrounding area.

Lake Meredith

Another great place to enjoy a boating trip is Lake Meredith, which is located about 30 miles northeast of Amarillo.
